Enjoy what is certainly the most beautiful time of the year with us in the resort of St. Veit when the delicate snow crystals float through the air and the countryside lies peacefully beneath a pure white blanket of snow. At this time there are so many things available to you to help you experience a wonderful winter break in Salzburg.

How about a sledge ride by moonlight for example? The Landhaus Empl is the starting point for a sledge ride as it is just 100 metres away from a floodlit toboggan run. Round off your winter holiday with a romantic moonlit sleigh ride or make this a highlight for the whole family!

Sledges are available at any time from us so that you can roar down any slope.

The more competitive amongst you will find curling the perfect sport. The stone will slide expertly down the course with the right amount of fingertip pressure and a good sense of judgement. Whoever gets their stone nearest to the centre circle – rather like in darts – gains the most points. Curling in St. Veit is a great tradition and provides fun and games for the whole family.

For those who prefer something more relaxing but without missing out on the breathtaking winter landscape, you can take a Winter Walk on one of the many prepared trails or try a ‘Snow-Shoe Wandern’ – tread where no man has trod before !
